RATES
Once A Day Visit - $30-$50
Twice A Day Visit - $65
Area 1 rate is $30 per day. Anything in area 2 will be $35 per day.
If you are outside of the service area, and we are still able to provide service, there is a charge of $50 per day. See map for service areas. Currently we are not taking any new clients outside of the service area 1. We are also not taking any new twice a day reservations, which are only available in area 1.
Medication Administration - $5 Per Day with a scheduled visit. This is provided your pet is able to be medicated by one person. If your pet is difficult to medicate they may do better at a medical boarding facility, such as a veterinarian that also does boarding. We reserve the right to turn down any reservation where we feel the cat may not be able to be properly medicated by one person.
$25 Per visit if you just need someone to administer medication. Again this is provided your pet can be medicated by one person. If you are able to assist with medication administration it is at our discretion. If others will be home when we come to medicate it is required that we have their contact information. We will let them know when we plan to arrive.
Nail Trimming - starting at $25/per animal. Assisted (2 person) nail trims are an additional $10/per animal. Owner assisted nail trims are at our discretion. Please note that most pets are not amicable to unassisted nail trims.
Garden/Yard Care - During summer months many people have outdoor or balcony gardens that require watering. As this is time consuming, especially over several days, there is a charge for this additional service. For bookings less than 3 days the charge is a flat rate of $10 per day, longer than 3 days is $15 per day. If you have an exceptionally large outdoor space that you need tended to please hire someone specifically for this job. Windy Sitting takes no responsibility for the condition of outdoor gardens upon your return. Additionally we are unable to provide any snow removal services. Please plan accordingly during winter months. Have someone available you can contact to clear snow from your sidewalks if it should be needed.
Extra Fees: There is no additional charge for messaging, photos, basic plant care or light mail collection. (We are unable to bring in large bulky packages, or anything weighing more than 20#.)
Currently we do not charge extra on holidays unless we are fully booked, (see “fit-in fee” below). Cancellations are not charged as long as they are at least 7 days prior to your travel date.
Cancellation Fees: You may cancel reservations with no fees up to one week (7 days) prior to your reservation. Cancellations of less than 7 days will be charged according to the following schedule. Within 6-4 days of travel 50% of total fee, within 3 days of travel 70% of entire fee, 2 days ahead 80%, and 24 hours or less 90%. Please understand that this is because we have reserved your time, and likely have turned away other clients while holding the space for you.
Changes in reservations can be made with no charges up to 72 hours before travel, however please keep in mind that we charge extra for added days, if we can accommodate them, as we may be booked. Returning early will result in a credit for services (no refunds) for up to 2 days that can be used on your next trip.
Fit-In-Fee: Please note we do book up at least a month in advance. Sometimes two months out for holidays. Currently as we are operating on a part time basis, we book up even faster. Do to this, last minute requests may not be accommodated. If we are able to “fit you in” there is an additional $10 charge per visit. No twice a day visits can be added to already booked dates. Key Pick Up Fee: For repeat clients a set of keys can be stored in a secure lock box, otherwise there is a charge of $25 each time keys are picked up. If you are able to provide a secure location for keys (to be obtained on the first day of visits) this fee is waived. New clients are not charged this fee for the meet and greet, unless there are no currently booked dates.
Emergencies: While we very much hope it does not come up, in the event of illness or injury, if we need to transport your pet to the veterinarian or emergency hospital, there is an extra $45 transport fee each trip to the hospital. This is to cover travel costs as well as our time. (There is usually at least an hour or more of time involved for such emergencies.) If there is an after hours emergency the fee is $60. We ask that you reconsider travel if your pet is unwell, or newly diagnosed with a condition that is not yet well controlled.
Payment: We will confirm or decline your reservation within 48 hours of your request. We will reconfirm approximately 7 days prior to the start of the reservation at which time we will provide a total amount due. Payment is required prior to services. Tips are always appreciated and can be made anytime!
